I have worked in the Move Management industry since 1996 and successfully delivered a large number of major high profile relocations projects, in a variety of sectors. 

I have specific experience working within a laboratory environment, having managed several projects for Pfizer and GSK.  Recently I have been involved and completed office moves for Lewis Silkin, GlaxoSmithKline, Allen & Overy and is currently managing the relocation of IPC Media in London.

Typical tasks include:

  • Information gathering and checklisting
  • Development and sign off of the Relocation Strategy
  • Set up and delivery of a communication programme
  • Monitoring the co-ordination and management of moves to the agreed service delivery standard.
  • Develop the Migration Schedule and Relocation Plan
  • Prepares and manages a project budget covering the migration costs
  • Issues weekly progress report detailing progress achieved and actions required
  • Develops the relocation strategy for server and desktop moves with the IT manager or consultants
  • Develops the staff communications programme
  • Sets up and attends relocation meetings for the key players in the project team and departmental business heads
  • Manages filing surgeries
  • Liaises with the client’s project team
  • Maintains the Project Control Sheet that details all of the tasks to be carried out
  • Preparation of Relocation and Equipment Lists
  • Preparation and collation of personalised move instruction packs
  • Site preparation – numbering of furniture and equipment for easy reference by the removal crew
  • Manages the move weekends
